With pedestrian fatalities rising nationwide, the urgent need for safer roadways has never been more…
Operation Best Foot Forward: TV, media values = $112,188
The media was out in full force for Operation Best Foot Forward on Aug. 26 with Back to School safety tips (check out WESH’s segment), and coverage from TV stations and print/digital media, WESH, WKMG, WFTV, Fox35, News13, Orlando Sentinel, HobNob Orlando, Magic 1077 and Mayor Dyer’s blog.
All that media coverage totaled an estimated $112,188 in earned media value for the enforcement.
Missed it? Well here’s a few highlights:
WKMG’s Erica Rakow crossed the street, spoke with Best Foot Forward, residents and drivers and reminded viewers about Florida’s Yield Law.
Orange County Commission Bryan Nelson made a special appearance at Pine Hills & El Trio Way and reminded News13 viewers that motorists have to stop to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
Fox35’s Andrea Jackson checked in with Orlando Police Sgt. Goglas and spoke with Bike/Walk Central Florida and Best Foot Forward’s Amanda Day.
A special thanks to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer for featuring Best Foot Forward on his blog.
