Orlando Health & BFF promote PED safety at ORMC campus
Injuries caused by motor vehicles striking people walking or biking are one of the top five types of trauma treated at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Part of National Trauma Awareness Month – Orlando Health and BFF hung out at several crosswalks around Orlando Health’s ORMC campus on May 24, 2016 to promote walking safety and remind drivers to yield to people walking in crosswalks.
Check out WFTV Channel 9’s coverage of Orlando Health’s Pedestrian Safety event. Some great shots of our #iY4PEDS signs and stickers as well as an interview with BFF coalition partner Susan Ono who manages ORMC’s trauma program. Thank you Channel 9 for the coverage and Orlando Health for your continual dedication to making our streets safer for people who walk.
